Leslie Boulin Raulet was born in 1985 and began playing the violin at the age of five. She first studied at the
Conservatoire National de Region de Boulogne in Paris, after winning the conservatoire’s first prize; she travelled to the USA to study at the Lawrence University of Appleton in Wisconsin in the
class of Stephane Tran Ngoc. Leslie is now studying under Yuri Zhislin as an undergraduate at the RCM.
From an early age, she won first prize in several competitions including the Bellan competition, UFAM
competition, Les Royaumes de la Musique competition (which lead to a radio performance of the Katchaturian violin concerto), the Vatelot competition, Milwaukee international competition of young
talent.Leslie has performed such concertos as the Bach double concerto with the Hanover Square Chamber Orchestra at Saint George’s church, Prokofieff violin concerto N.2 with the CNR de
Boulogne’s symphony Orchestra in Paris, Vivaldi’s “four seasons” with the Euterpe Franche-Comte Orchestra and the Sibelius violin concerto with the Orpheus Sinfonia. Leslie regularly performs as
a recitalist at Saint James, Piccadilly, Saint Martin in the field, Saint Mary Abbot’s church and has extensive engagements in France.
Leslie was the concert master in the Capital Philarmonic Orchestra in London, Conservatoire National de
Dole’s Orchestra, in the Euterpe Franche-Comte Orchestra, in the Conservatoire de Boulogne-Billancourt-Paris’s orchestra and in the Lawrence University’s orchestra in
Chicago. She recently entered the Kodaly-Bartok World Youth Orchestra under Thomas Vassari’s baton and regularly performs in the Royal College of Music’s Orchestra with conductors such as
Vladimir Ashkenazy, Bernard Haitink, Sir Roger Norrington, they recently recorded a contemporary music piece on the BBC radio with Helmut Lachenmann.She has also performed in the Royal Albert Hall with the English Chamber orchestra and in the Royal Festival Hall with the London
Sinfonietta.
